Since I tried these cookies, years ago, from my local supermarket I actually fell in love with it. And they tasted much better warmed up in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. I myself, love Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Always have. There’s something special about the orange flavour within the milk chocolate. Here’s a great recipe to try out, if you’re like me, and love Terry’s Chocolate Orange. It’s decadent, and to be eaten on cheat day – so no need to feel so guilty about it.
Ingredients (Serves 12)
Cookie mix – 230g butter, 130g caster sugar, 100g soft brown sugar, 1 medium egg, 230g self-raising flour, 2tsp vanilla extract, one whole Terry’s Chocolate Orange, 2 tsp skimmed milk.
Preheat the oven to 180c
1) Mix together the butter with the brown sugar, until is becomes a paste. Crack in the egg, along with the vanilla extract, and beat this in.
2) Fold in the self raising flour, and add in the milk so that the dough is not dry.
3) Break up the Terry’s Chocolate Orange segments into quarters, and fold this into the mix.
4) Put the dough mixture into the fridge, and leave for half an hour. This will help the dough become firmer and it won’t spread out too much when cooking. As much as I love giant cookies, these look better normal sized!
5) Space out the mix, using teaspoon sized dough mixture, onto a greased baking tray. Leave as a ball and do not squish it down.
6) Pop them in the over for about 10-15 minutes. They should be golden, and allow to cool.
Try it out! They taste amazing!
