Restaurant Review – Hakkasan

Dim Sum Platter Hakkasan
Last Sunday Ankit and I took a trip to Hakkasan, a restaurant that I have been wanting to go to for AGES now. Every time I heard someone else going to this restaurant, it made me want to go there more and more. If you haven’t heard of Hakkasan, it’s a spectacular Michelin starred restaurant boasting a contemporary and upscale vibe to a Chinese restaurant.  Part of the Hakkasan Group, you will find restaurants located worldwide – namely Miami, Dubai, Las Vega, and London’s West End. Awarded one of the top 50 restaurants that must be visited, Hakkasan is a restaurant that should be top of your list of places to dine at. View Post

#MyTravelMemory Disney World

Disney world

Since I can remember I have always wanted to go to USA. It’s always been a place that has had an aura of enchantment. If I wanted something of an experience I would visit Alaska to see the Northern Lights. Or if I wanted to head to the beach I’d make my way to Miami. But if you truly wanted to go somewhere magical you’d head to Disney World – Orland, Florida. Taking the plunge and booking my tickets, and a motel on International Drive, at 24 I finally decided it was time to go to the happiest place on earth. An 11 day trip, I set about venturing through all 4 of the Disney World parks. View Post

Restaurant Review – Dishoom

Dishoom Starters

Indian food is one of my favourite types of cuisine to have. Whether this be eating out or having home cooked food with my family. There are just so many diverse flavours and spices incorporated into this type of cuisine. It’s also the range of foods that I have grown up loving, and being Indian myself it is something that I am comfortable ordering when I’m out at a restaurant. As with any type of cuisine though, it’s always an eye-opener (or taste bud!) when you try your much-loved dishes from different restaurants, and Dishoom is somewhere that has always been highly recommended to me by fans of Indian food.

Referred to simply as a Bombay Cafe, Dishoom restaurants have popped up in the heart of London at some of the easiest locations to get to. Having heard so much about Dishoom, I decided it was finally time for me to go visit the restaurant that is well-known for its chicken ruby and unperturbed cafe-like atmosphere within its restaurants. I opted for Kings Cross as my chosen location to finally open my taste buds to some new, and much loved Indian dishes. View Post

Restaurant Review – Miller & Carter Steakhouse

Miller And Carter Burger
Miller & Carter Steakhouse is something special, it has been a place that Ankit and I have visited on several occasions and a place we reserve simply for celebrations. With the New Year just passing, I decided that ringing in 2016 was going to be a quiet one. Not because I had left it too late to make any plans, but because I really just wanted to spend quality time with loved ones. To me, and this might just be because I’m getting to that stage in life, but New Years Eve is kind of over-rated, not to mention expensive. In my mind, there was no better place to have a quiet meal to celebrate the New Year than Miller & Carter Steakhouse. View Post

2016 goals

2016 goals

Ok, so you’ve probably seen this or heard this all over social media at the moment, but wow, can you believe 2016 is just around the corner? 2015 literally flew by; so much has happened, and I was so happy that I could take time out for a 2015 reflection. So many of us are likely to be thinking up what our New Year’s resolutions should be, but why just limit it to one or two resolutions? I’ve decided to put together a post for my 2016 goals for the year ahead. I’ve already set mini goals for my happy half a year – which was really my Happy Birthday The Life Of Vanisha post. This post, however, was a post for my blog goals, now it’s time to incorporate the two together for what I want to strive towards in 2016.

I’ve already mentioned that 2016 is going to be a huge year for me, so adding more goals for what is certainly going to be a busy year may be something difficult to achieve. I’ve always been someone who needs something to work towards, I like to keep my brain ticking and learn new things all the time. Yes, 2016 is going to be another year that flies by, but it’s also a year I want to develop my skills, not just my blog but also life skills. My 2016 goals are going to reflect just that.  View Post
