The Wedding Update

Wedding update

It’s just under 6 months until my big day, and I’ve spent a good two years planning it to make it into my dream wedding. As you know, from my wedding diaries series there have been endless decisions that I’ve needed to make, so I thought with my big day fast tracking ahead I would write up a little wedding update.

Admittedly, and I’m sure many soon to be brides or married brides will relate to this, it has been stressful. There have been so many people questioning what there is to be stressed about, my other half also falls into this category. Obviously they just don’t get it. For most grooms it’s a case of just leave it to the bride and just turn up. I’ve got to give him some credit for this though, my fiancé has helped me quite a bit with the planning side of things.

For those who don’t know what there is to get stressed about, let me break it down slightly within this wedding update – the cost, seating, who to invite, do you give someone a plus one, if I don’t invite them then what will they think of us, where to go on the honeymoon, picking the perfect dress, now I’ve picked the perfect dress I CANNOT put on a single pound, bridesmaids dresses, invites and that’s just a tiny percentage of things that need to be dealt with. Spotify Playlist ; Couch to 5k

Spotify Playlist Couch to 5k

Another week and another spotify playlist. For anyone who has been following The Life Of Vanisha you will know I’ve been on a fitness journey recently, and that’s not just to my impending wedding, but just as a lifestyle change. Spotify is an app I’ve had on my phone for so long now, and much preferred to using my iPod – which is actually now broken (boo! RIP iPod).

I’ve started working my way through the couch to 5k workout, as I felt I was just running on the treadmill with no real goal. To me,there’s no point in trying to improve your fitness if you don’t have goals in place. So, I got my act together and made a plan for myself. Obviously you can’t get through a workout plan without some great music!

Will You Be My Bridesmaid

Will you be my bridemaid

It can sometimes be difficult to narrow down a few of your good, best, and old friends down to who you want to be a part of your bridal party. Narrowing down a few friends as bridesmaids can sometimes be difficult, but asking someone the question of “will you be my bridesmaid” needs to be a special moment completed in a special way.

Obviously, there are the normal ways of asking someone to be your bridesmaid, but for those of us who want to ask someone in an original and heartfelt way websites like Etsy is your answer. I’ve been trawling Etsy for a good few months now, as I wanted to ask my own bridal party in a special way as opposed to outright asking them the question. With my wedding exactly 6 months away (eek that’s come by quickly!!), I’ve needed to make the final plans to the wedding to make it just perfect.  View Post

Shower Favourites – Molton Brown Body Wash

Molton Brown Body Wash

Whenever I think of Molton Brown Body Wash gels I always think of luxury. Molton Brown itself is a high end brand, which have expertly been advertised within department stores in exclusive booths. They ooze exotic and rare ingredients, which have been blended together with care and skill. A unisex brand, Molton Brown Body Wash gels aren’t just for us women, they cater for men too – with specialist ranges for both men and women. Being awarded the Leaping Bunny logo, this itself unifies the sophisticate of the brand and solidifies it’s popularity as a brand that has never tested on animals.

I’ve had my eye on treating myself to some Molton Brown Body Wash gels ever since I saw them ever so neatly displayed within John Lewis. Albeit I picked up the Christmas travel set, but it was a great way to test out all the shower gels within the range, whether they be for men or women, in handy travel sized bottles. This itself made it perfect for travelling on-the-go, or within my gym bag after a long work out.

How to get healthy hair

How many times have you looked at a glossy magazine, and wanted to know what their secrets are on how to get healthy hair? I recall looking through endless magazines, with actual hair envy, for the number of models I have seen with shiny, beautiful tresses. Forever longing that one day my hair will behave, and mirror that of the ladies I see parading around on TV shows, magazines and sometimes just walking around the streets of London.

Today, I’m going to let you in on a few, maybe well known to some, secrets of how to get healthy hair. It all comes down to how you treat your hair, because respecting your locks can work wonders for your look. By following a few simple steps, which don’t require a battering to your purse, or plastic, your hair can be revived from near dead to healthy and happy.

My own hair has seen some bad days, and some just plain awful. I’ll admit that there have been days where I have just given up with my hair, wanting to grab a pair of scissors and just hack it all off. It’s at times like that when I need to really calm myself down, and think before I chop. There have been times where I have delayed going to the hairdressers out of sheet laziness, and always believing that it was too much effort to care for my hair. Really, the secret to how to get healthy hair shouldn’t really be a secret. It should be widespread to all of us ladies. Follow these simple tips, and you’re guaranteed to have herbal-essences-approved swishing tresses. View Post
