Lush : Mask Of Magnaminty

Mask of Magnaminty

You’ll note that Lush is a brand that has been highly trended within The Life Of Vanisha recently. On a recent shopping trip, I stocked up on all my favourites, and even have a wish list already made up for my next trip. A new product was quickly placed within my shopping basket, on my last trip to Lush in Oxford Street – that being the Mask Of Magnaminty. A lettuce green, multi-purpose mask used to exfoliate and clear the skin.

Usually when I purchase masks from Lush, it’s the face masks I go for. Let’s face it, we’re all instantly drawn to the display of ice cubes, and open tubs of face masks with their natural ingredients surrounding them. When I heard that Lush did a mask for, not just your face, but also the body, I was instantly drawn as Lush face masks have never let me down.

Mask of Magnaminty

The colour of the multi-purpose mask is similar to that of the Love Lettuce mask; it’s a medium green in colour. If you’re a fan of mint flavours and scents then this is your mask to go for. It really does remind me of mint chocolate chip ice cream because of the creamy mint smell to it.

It’s very gentle on the skin, so if you do suffer from acne of even eczema then this is a great mask for you, as it doesn’t irritate the skin. It feels very light when plastered onto the skin. And you literally do just that, plaster an even layer on the area of skin you want to ex-foliate, leave it on for about 15 minutes until it hardens and circle-scrub off.

The mask is also self preserving, unlike other face masks by Lush which have a set expiry date – usually about 2-3 weeks from the date of purchase. The expiry date of the Mask Of Magnaminty is about 6 months after the date of purchase.

Within the Mask Of Magnaminty is peppermint and oil, which aids irritated skin and cools it down with a menthol effect, honey which again is generally used as an antiseptic – think honey and lemon when you’re under the weather. An ingredient I haven’t actually heard of, which is within the mask, is Organic Ground Aduki Beans these little gems remove dead skin cells in an ex-foliating action. Perfect for any body mask.

The Mask Of Magnaminty can be purchased from Lush at £9.95. Although this is a bit more expensive than most Lush masks, it’s a much larger pot than usual and lasts ages.

Have you tried any face and body masks from Lush?
