Top Netflix Picks

With the bank holiday weekend coming up, some of us may be looking forward to having a lazy weekend. Thank God for bank holidays! For those of us who were lucky enough to be in the same situation, the time off is a perfect excuse to not just have a duvet day, but a duvet week. All you need after making that decision is to get the laptop charged up, stock up on some snacks – you cannot beat Kettle Crisps (cracked black pepper, of course), and your subscription to Netflix, with my list of Netflix picks, and you’re all ready to go. I recently subscribed to Netflix after putting it off for so long – I didn’t really have much time for Eastenders let alone full on TV series’s. Now that I’m no longer studying for my exams, I have found that I have an endless amount of free time. Sometimes you…

2016 goals

Ok, so you’ve probably seen this or heard this all over social media at the moment, but wow, can you believe 2016 is just around the corner? 2015 literally flew by; so much has happened, and I was so happy that I could take time out for a 2015 reflection. So many of us are likely to be thinking up what our New Year’s resolutions should be, but why just limit it to one or two resolutions? I’ve decided to put together a post for my 2016 goals for the year ahead. I’ve already set mini goals for my happy half a year – which was really my Happy Birthday The Life Of Vanisha post. This post, however, was a post for my blog goals, now it’s time to incorporate the two together for what I want to strive towards in 2016. I’ve already mentioned that 2016 is going to be…

TLOV | 2015 Reflection

2015 has been such a busy year for me; it just feels as thought it has flown by and I’ve wanted nothing more than a much needed “pause” button on life. It literally feels like it was the start of 2015 only a few months back now. Doesn’t that sound a bit cliché? But most of the time that is true to form for a lot of us. As we are drawing to the end of another amazing, fun-filled yet emotional year that was a huge learning curve for me, it’s important to take the time to have a 2015 reflection. This is ever more important as so many people are quick to jump onto the new years resolutions bandwagon. For me, personally, you shouldn’t make resolutions just because it’s a new year, if you want to start something start it now. You don’t need to wait until the start of the…

TLOV | What to do after college

When I was younger I never really knew what I wanted to be. I was sort of in a haze between doing something I was good at or doing something that I as going to enjoy at that time. Truthfully there was nothing more that I wanted to be than a hairdresser. But really I knew that was only because I enjoyed chopping off the hair on my dolls, or styling my mum or sisters hair. I knew for someone like me that wasn’t really going to work out as a career choice, as not only was I and still am indecisive meaning that I couldn’t make a decision to save my life, but I also got pretty bored easily, and I enjoyed and thrived on challenges. I just needed to figure out what do to after college. I needed something that was going to keep my brain ticking and…

Challenge | a week without a washing machine

For many of us, the washing machine is something we literally cannot be without in our household. It keeps our clothes smelling fresh and clean, whilst maintaining the look of each garment and restoring them back to shop bought quality. Washing liquids and detergents themselves have taken a huge leap in our supermarkets, with smells getting better and better giving out clothes a unique smell that can be associated to the individual. But we are also putting our washing machines through their paces, with many of us using washing machines more than 3 times a week for our loads. Due to this it is any wonder exactly how many liters of water and energy is being used for washing cycles that may just be unnecessary to run. I was challenged to go a week without a washing machine.
