How To Drink More Water

With the New Year drawing close, and many of us already making our New Years plans to go out and get the festivities started, we’re all sure to need a detox to give us the best start to the year. I for one, am planning on being utterly boring this year – though it is a preference to me, by having a quiet New Years on the sofa binge watching my favourite TV Shows on Netflix. The one thing I have endlessly wanted to do is find ideas, and tips, as to how to drink more water. We all know that we need to get our recommended daily allowance of water drunk each day to maintain a healthy lifestyle – which is about 2 liters a day. As our body weight is made up of about 60% water, it’s essential to get that recommended amount into our bodies to flush away…

Review| Bannatyne Spa in Fairfield

Relaxation is something that is so important; we need to have at least one day a week to ourselves to relax in some sort of way. Whether that be by having a pamper session, having some time to ourselves to go to a yoga or pilates class, or just booking ourselves in for a Spa Day. After I finished my exams, I was treated to a day booked at the Bannatyne Spa in Fairfield by my fiancé. He really must have known that I needed nothing more than a day  to ourselves where we could be looked after and pampered, whilst enjoying massages and facials. Albeit it wasn’t really his sort of thing, but being the dutiful fiancé he is, he agreed to come along with me for the day. It was about an hour drive from where we lived, but it didn’t really take that long for us to get to…

Health | Stay Healthy The Lazy Way

Being healthy is something that should really come naturally to us, but with hundreds of fast food chains open at our convenience sometimes it’s a bit difficult to stay on the wagon. Quick snacks and energy drinks have seem a shot incline in sales, with a number of us grabbing snack bars as opposed to some chopped fruit. For those of you that do have a hard time juggling things, here’s a quick fire list of how you can stay healthy the lazy way.

Fitness | How To Stay Motivated To Work Out

I am guilty of falling off the wagon when it comes to having fitness goals and making myself go to the gym. Admittedly, my gym is literally across the road from where I live, so you would really think that I have no excuse whatsoever not to go. Gosh, is that wrong. Recently, I’ve had little to no motivation to make myself head to the gym, regardless of whether I have an impending wedding (less than a year to go!!). Even the need to look my best for my wedding day is not enough to motivate me, choosing to watch The Great British Bake Off instead of getting my sweat on. If you’re anything like me, here are a few tips on How To Stay Motivated To Work Out – get yourself motivated by putting your gym kit on and getting down to the gym – or better yet, going for a…

Time To Relax | The Kneader Review

Anyone who has been following me on Twitter knows that I am big on going to the gym at the moment; I am loving mixing it up with cardio and weights. Although the daily exercise is amazing for my health, it’s also taking a toll on my muscles. Giving your body time to relax and recover is essential for recovery, however, pushing your muscles and body along and giving it an extra hand never hurt anyone either. The Kneader* has recently been introduced into the market as the new essential product for those of us who want to relax our muscles, but don’t necessarily have the time, or budget, to head down to the spa every so often for a massage. The Kneader comes with a great instructional manual and DVD to help build up your style and technique, so you don’t need to be a fully trained masseuse to use…
