This week I was invited along to The Bloggers Hangout BLFW event, in Hoxton, for a fun filled evening of all things fashion, beauty and skin care. As a blogger it’s always fascinating to discover new brands, who each have their own niche, as well as remain committed to firm favourite brands.
Having previously been to events run by The Bloggers Hangout, and attended the BLFW event in the prior year, I knew the Bloggers Hangout were not going to disappoint.
As predicted the evening was packed with a beauty treatments, discovering new brands, catching up with old and new bloggers, and not forgetting the fashion show itself – which reeled in Spring perfectly by being held outside.
As with most The Bloggers Hangout events, the room was split into two parts, the first being brands showcasing new products which had either just launched, or were due to be launched. This part of the room also included beauty bars dotted around the room, for anyone who wanted a quick pamper treatment, or to switch up their hair. With the likes of Paul Mitchell styling hair into the perfect Elsa braid this was clearly one of the popular areas of the BLFW event.
The second half of the room was the gifting lounge, whichThe Bloggers Hangout managed to get just perfect. There was a large mix of brands, from well-known i.e. Sensationail to brands that were newer to me, The Curl Company and Amie.
It was nice to talk to each of the brands to see what new products they were working on, and alternatives to products which were a splurge to me.
There were also a number of brands at the BLFW event whose product range were not only cruelty free, but natural and vegan friendly. For someone who has suffered from a number of skin problems in the past, it was interesting to hear testimonials from brands as to how their products had helped others who were suffering from common skin conditions – I’m talking eczema, dehydration and dry skin.
My favourite brands from the events will be blogged about within the upcoming weeks, so if there are any skin conditions or worries, keep your eyes peeled as you are likely to be introduced to some new staples.
