Buckley London |Miniature Heart

I am someone who loves to accessorize with different items to complete an outfit, but I’m pretty particular with the accessories I choose to wear. I’m someone who doesn’t like accessories to overbear the outfit that you are wearing, but to compliment it. Small pieces like necklaces, that aren’t huge statement pieces, I think work perfectly to complete an outfit. I tend to go for simple designs, that are simple enough to be pulled off as a must have to complete an outfit. You will rarely find me with statement necklaces around my neck, as I firmly believe your neck should be kept free with just one single piece of Jewellery . Don’t get me wrong though, I will compensate with earrings and bracelets! I recently fallen in love with this beautiful necklace, and the collection in fact, by Buckley London*, who kindly sent me the Miniature Heart Pendant, as a…

TLOV | Be Classy and Fabulous # 1

There are literally hundreds of blogs at the moment that are purely just for all things beauty. Which, don’t get me wrong is great. I regularly pop into blog’s to find out what beauty products are up and coming, or for reviews before I buy anything. But, I’ve always wanted my blog to be something more than just beauty reviews. It’s what I like to call my little piece of the internet. Somewhere I can put down a collection of my thoughts in one place that I can call mine. Without the need for others to bash at my comments, but instead to provide constructive input. Here at The Life Of Vanisha I’ve decided to start a category of blog posts, that are my own, known simply as TLOV (the first letters of my blog name!) A place for me to express my thoughts on topics which don’t fall into the…

PetShop.co.uk | Spoiling My Feline Friends

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that recently my pet cat, Tigger, was taken ill, and had to have a major operation. Now for anyone that has pets you would know how difficult it can be when your pet is taken ill. For me, I don’t have children, so I am proud to admit that yes, I do treat my pets as my babies, and I absolutely love treating them every so often. When they behave, of course! I know there will be a few people out there, raising their eyebrows at this post about how I’m talking about my pets, but unless you have pets, you may not understand the connection with them. One of my absolute favourite places to shop around for goodies is PetShop.co.uk, they have a huge range of treats for your pets, and it beats trawling through pet shop aisles any day!

Cookbook | Easter Carrot Cake Recipe

Easter is finally upon us, and I am fairly certain it’s everyone’s second favourite holiday! And not because of the bank holidays! Easter is such a perfect mid-year holiday to spend time with your family and cook some beautiful food. I’ve put together such a comforting, moist carrot cake which is ideal to bring the family together as a perfect addition to a lay up meal. Baking is so relaxing, and this is great to bake on Good Friday morning – whilst everyone is having a lie in or getting ready to go out. The smell will fill your home, think freshly baked bread, and it is the definition of yum. It has an American feel to the carrot cake, and is ever a popular cake to eat. So here it is, my Easter Carrot Cake Recipe.
