The themes for 2016 weddings are already out, and we haven’t even hit the end of the year yet. But with wedding’s taking so much of our time, to plan to perfection, quieter wedding seasons like autumn and winter are the best ones to start thinking about what your wedding party will be dressed in. For the bride, apart from her own outfit, bridesmaid dresses are next on the agenda to be decided upon. But how exactly do we narrow it down for bridesmaids dresses when there are so many different styles. I’ve put together a list together for the best 2016 bridesmaid dresses inspiration. I for one am currently struggling to come to a decision as to what I want my bridesmaids to wear – needing to decide on the neck line, the cut, the colour. It’s bad enough needing to narrow my bridesmaids down to an acceptable number!

Here’s my list of the top 5 dresses, that are must have if you are looking for 2016 bridesmaid dresses inspiration.
Shoulder Straps Beaded Lace Appliqued Long Pale Pink Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress £82.99
Again another gorgeous floor length gown – they are completely in this season for 2016 bridesmaids dresses. I think when the Duchess of Cambridge got married and her sister was her maid of honour, it triggered an ever long trend of full length gowns. I personally feel that bridesmaids should mirror the bride, but not take away the attention from the bride.
The shoulder straps on this dress incorporate elegant beading which are hand sewn into each gown. The key-hole back keeps it modern and contemporary, whereas the buttoned down spine gives each bridesmaid shape and really accentuates it.
This dress is a great way of incorporating strapless with a slight strap, as the straps aren’t so obvious and it’s always great to have a different type of material on the sleeves to make it subtle.
Illusion Bateau Neck Column Lace Bodice Long Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress £99.99
One of the best dress options you could chose to create a perfect column silhouette, it’s a great floor length dress if you want your bridesmaids to have the ultimate elegance aura to them. This bridesmaid’s dress is perfect for Spring and Summer weddings, and especially perfect for weddings that take place out in the garden or on a manor.
I love how the top half of the dress is in lace, with chiffon material flowing downwards. The back is embellished with buttons to give a simple yet chic finish to the dress.
Available in an array of colours, really if you’re looking for this dress to work, I would opt for baby pinks or blue for a soft look to compliment the lace.
Spaghetti Straps Pleated Long Mint Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress £78.99
This dress is actually one of my personal favourites, I can just imagine having a summer wedding outside in a garden with my bridesmaids wearing this dress along with a flower head garland. It’s so flowly! And I love this dress in that colour – mint isn’t something you would generally see on bridesmaids and I think it’s definitely a colour that isn’t used enough in weddings.
The A-line dress adds a touch of elegance, and along with the spaghetti straps it has the extra dipped sleeve for the added charm.
Keeping it simple with a V neckat the front and back, and a zipper fastening, I don’t think this dress really needs any more to it – as the top of the dress can be used as the statement.
Add a simple pearl necklace to the dress to not take the focus away from the straps.
One Shoulder Burgundy Tulle Bridesmaid Dress with Crystal Ribbon £79.99
Although I’ve said I won’t be having an Indian wedding, it’s always nice to add a touch of culture to your wedding. If you’re currently a bride to be, and do not want to go full on traditional, try adding a bit of culture to your bridesmaids dresses.
This one shoulder burgundy dress is a great way to incorporate a bit of fusion within your wedding, as it looks similar to a few Indian outfits – the one shoulder being the fusion item, making it look similar to a Sari.
Add a bit of vintage style to your bridesmaids with this dress as it has a sash/ribbon across the middle of the dress to help add a silhouette to your bridesmaids figures.
Halter Neck Sleeveless Floral Lace Bodice Long Chiffon Prom Dress £79.99
Now, although this dress is a prom dress, it can still be used as a bridesmaids dress. The halter neck has added lace to it, which is a design that is definitely in within the 2016 collections for dresses.
Although this is a simple dress, it will compliment most wedding dresses as it incorporates all the usual elements of a bridesmaids dress – lace, chiffon, and a sash.
